Meet the Team

AG Psychology Centre founder and clinical director is Dr Azucena Guzman, known as Azu. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Dr Guzman is EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, she has 17 years of clinical and research experience in the field of Clinical Psychology. For the past 10 years, she has been working for the NHS, mainly in the older adult, neuropsychology, adult mental health  and addiction psychological services.

Dr Guzman is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology and worked seven years at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and continues teaching internationally. She has an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed published journals that have contributed to change health policy.

Current Collaborations:

We provide clinical supervision to senior Clinical Psychologists and have provided consultancy to develop their services and improve the quality of life of people living with dementia and their families. We contribute to the module of ‘Understanding Behaviours that Challenge’ and ‘Self-care of the caregiver of the person living with dementia’ on their ‘Dementia and Music’ training course.

We collaborate with Cielito Lindo Mexican Independent & Assisted Living Home by training staff to develop their clinical and caring skills in dementia care.

We collaborate with Circle, a charity dedicated to improve the lived of children by strengthening families experiencing drug or alcohol addiction, imprisonment, neglect, abuse, family breakdown.
